NEXT MEETING: General Body Meeting: Sunday, November 8, 2009, 5:00 PM

Important Meeting: We will be having our elections of officers at the 5:00 PM meeting on November 8th !!!

As President of the Society of Italian-Americans for the past four years, I would like to thank the Executive Board and all the members of the SIA for their support and help.   It has been a great honor to be president of this prestigious organization and what we represent in maintaining our Italian heritage and traditions.  As a member over the past 26 years, and looking back to helping merge two clubs together in 1994, serving on the board, and now helping plan an all new Italian heritage festival (Viva L’Italia), I can only say one thing: “I am proud to be an Italian!”   Thanks to everyone.

John Marturello Tyler, President

I think your webpage is great this year!!! Last year I tried to get information about the festival because I live in Ames and it’s a long drive for me to attend the festival. Last year I couldn’t get any info on the festival from your website. This year the website is great, keep it up. Also, I will be definitely driving down from Ames, if for no other reason than to hear Aaron Caruso sing. But there are many other good reasons too, not the least of which is the food.
